How Powerful Is the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe?

People have been exploring the planet with the Jeep Wrangler for 80 years. The 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe will be the first variant in the model’s storied history to be specifically focused on environmental consciousness. Now that the all-new 2021 Wrangler 4xe has arrived at the Finch Chrysler showroom, we’re seeing a lot of interest in the plug-in hybrid platform. “Our Jeep 4xe vehicles will be the most efficient, responsible and capable that the brand has ever created,” Christian Meunier, Global President of Jeep Brand – FCA, said in a press release. “We are committed to make Jeep the greenest SUV brand. The electrification of the Jeep lineup will allow commuters to travel solely on electric power, delivering an efficient and fun on-road experience and offering an ability to enjoy even more Jeep capability off-road in nearly complete silence.”

2021 Wrangler 4xe Performance Specs

The new Jeep hybrid platform will have a 2.0-litre, inline four-cylinder engine under the hood. However, it is attached to a series of electric motors that will help the vehicle produce up to 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque when the gasoline-powered engine and electric motors are working together. Torque is an important measurement to off-road enthusiasts. Because of the nature of the hybrid system used by the Wrangler 4xe, torque is delivered almost instantly to the wheels. This will help the vehicle dominate muddy trails as well as accelerate in traffic.

Additionally, the 2021 Wrangler 4xe can tow up to 1,588 kg (3,500 lbs.) when it’s properly equipped.

Obtaining the best possible fuel economy scores is the ultimate goal of any hybrid vehicle. Even when producing all of that power, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe can record a combined 4.7 L/100 km and travel up to about 34 km using only the power stored in its high-capacity batteries.

Can the Wrangler 4xe Still Go Off-Road?

Hybrid vehicles haven’t been known for their ability to bust trails. That’s because there hasn’t been a hybrid Jeep platform prior to the introduction of the 2021 Wrangler 4xe. Owners won’t have to worry about taking their Wrangler 4xe anywhere they want to travel. The manufacturer has fully enclosed all of the sensitive electrical components to make them waterproof and keep them as protected as possible.
