What Is The 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe?

Fuel economy and lower emissions are more important to new vehicle buyers than ever before. Jeep is responding to these customer demands by implementing plug-in hybrid powertrains on two of its most popular platforms, the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. The addition of a plug-in hybrid powertrain might be the most significant addition to the Grand Cherokee lineup in the model’s long and storied history.

“The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe driver can tailor its hybrid powertrain to suit each trip, from daily commuting in pure-electric mode to extended highway road trips with no range anxiety, allowing owners to explore nature off-road in near silence,” Christian Meunier, Jeep Brand Chief Executive Officer, said in a press release. “This is another important step toward achieving our global vision of Zero Emission Freedom. By 2025, we plan to offer a fully electric Jeep vehicle in every SUV segment.”

A turbocharged 2.0-litre, inline four-cylinder engine is employed by the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. It will produce 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. A properly equipped hybrid Grand Cherokee will be able to tow up to 2,720 kg (6,000 lbs.). Additionally, Jeep is estimating that the 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe will be able to travel up to 40 km using only stored electrical power.

Driver Assistance/Active Safety System Upgrades

Finch Chrysler customers interested in the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee will also be getting one of the most advanced crossover SUVs coming to dealerships across Canada. Six available features will change the way drivers interact with the 2022 Grand Cherokee.

Intersection Collision Assist

Unique challenges and dangers are consistently faced when approaching an intersection. This new safety system will provide audio and visual alerts to the drivers that there is something that requires their immediate attention at the intersection.

Night Vision

To be sure, automotive headlights are better than ever before. However, they still have limitations. The new Night Vision system uses forward-facing sensors to provide a 2022 Grand Cherokee driver with a better view of the road beyond the headlights.

Surround View Camera

Obstacles are all around a vehicle. The Surround View Camera uses input from sensors around the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee to help drivers understand what is around them. This will also include the backup camera with dynamic guidelines.

Drowsy Driver Detection

People lose focus when they get tired — decades of science support this fact. The driver safety systems available with the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee can monitor how attentive the person behind the wheel is and provide alerts if it detects waning attention to the road.

Colour Heads-Up Display

Another standard message driving safety studies send out is that it’s always dangerous for drivers to take their eyes off the road. The full-colour heads-up display will display important information on the windshield where the driver can still see it without being distracting to the driver.

Traffic Sign Recognition

It’s easy for drivers to miss crucial information on signs when they’re in a new area. The Traffic Sign Recognition system will hand out important updates about changing speed limits and other signs that require a change in driving behaviour.
